Dear violin, viola and cello players, Are you interested in starting to improvise on your instrument? Have you always wanted to improvise, but didn't know how to begin? I am a jazz and ethno violinist and I am happy to help you start or improve your improvising skills on your instrument. I studied jazz violin, pedagogy and composition at Jazz Conservatory in Klagenfurt and I am active musician in jazz and various world music styles. What you will learn: - basics of improvisation - jazz standards, gypsy swing standards and traditional tunes - how to play chords and harmony on your instruments - how to relax while playing your instrument and how to use it in classical music - basics of jazz harmony - basics of jazz language - techniques (chopping, swing bowing,...) - create your own practice routine - playing by ear What you need: - basic technique on your instrument (to be comfortable in the first position on violin or viola or two octaves on cello) Language of lessons are English, some German, Slovak, Slovenian or Serbo-croatian.
